Pria's 1st Birthday & Weekend Recap

Saturday was Pria's first birthday party. There were so many little details that made this party so cute. Lisa (pria's mom) definitely worked hard and put in time to make a lot of DIY items for decorations. From a person who loves DIY but also knows how long things can take and how often things can fail, i super appreciated all of the decorations.

She had the cutest outfit -- halloween fairy! I liked nilesh's bowtie too lol I don't think I got a picture of Lisa because she was running around the whole night but her outfit was also very themey and cute!

The theme was different, cute and carried out throughout everything. Fairy birthday party. 

There was moss everywhere, whimsical trees and the cutest fricking centerpieces ever:

i cannot imagine how long this took to make. those are dumdum lollipops with a little butterfly and fairy on it. the pot was super heavy to offset the weight of the dumdums. the pot was filled with moss. Lisa made like 10 of these!

a couple of these were also scattered throughout. 

The main table was super cute. The glass tiered items had cupcakes on them later. My phone died early so the majority of pictures are on sketchy's phone. 

I loved these two strings of paper flowers: 

These also probably took forever to make/tie together. They were just draped over a string that was connected to either side of the hall.

 This was super cute -- she's wearing fairy wings in the pictures. This was their guestbook -- wish i got a picture of the completed piece -- it was super filled with birthday wishes.

One of the other little ways they kept with the theme was by handing out these wings for everyone. Mine was pink.

The food was also great. There was spanish food to cater to Lisa's side and indian (veggie) food to cater to Nilesh's side. People seemed to have a great time, especially the kids.

Sunday we just went to a place in college park (looney's) to watch football with Sketchy's cousins (Fal, Nipul, Hetal, Mayur and Minal and baby Reina showed up towards the end of the 1 o clock games) and Scott, Miriam and baby hays. 

The jags crashed and burned miserably. The skins won though. After the 1 o clock games we all stopped to take care of dogs and then Nipul, Fal, Hetal, Sketchy and I headed over to Umesh and Nimisha's house for dinner. They made enchiladas which were reallllyy good. We ate, hung out with simaya a bit and headed home. Busy day, needless to say I passed out as soon as i hit the bed.
