After happy hour items I was pretty content so didn't do any of the entrees but sooo many lamb items including Lamb sausage pizza and a gnocchi with lamb ragu and goat cheese. Their whole menu is super appealing -- think we'll def be going back for happy hour and regular dinner at some point. They also do their happy hour on sundays. And the happy hour specials are actually good deals.
Beyond the happy hour, they have a ridiculous extensive wine and beer menu. Their wine menu has a great selection of a variety of priced bottles -- the lower end being really affordable for a nice sit down place! Their beer menu offers a large list of drafts (think there are around 35 beers on draft) and bottled beer. The beauty of their beer menu is that they offer samples of each draft beer so you can basically create your own flight. Diana, Melanie and I ended up making our own flight of 6 beers we wanted to try. Such a great deal and fun way to mix and match and try new beers. They also include their seasonals! And again, very good deal!
The place itself was pretty too!
Oh and their sangria was good! More of a fruit juice/sweet sangria like Vapianos than a real sangria like La Tasca and El Centro.
Today I went to Spirit Halloween for lunch to check out some costumes for Saturday night! They had too many choices. gonna go back with sketchy and get outfits tomorrow.
Tonight we're going over to Lisa and Nilesh's for Pria's actual first birthday. Happy 1st Birthday Baby Pria!! They have a left over cake and pinata from her birthday party last weekend. I think a few other folks will be over there.
Almost Friday! As i said earlier this week, this weekend is going to be a super fall weekend of fun. Friday Sketchy and I are doing date night here: Cox Farms. It seems like a super VA/northern high school date night I super missed out on growing up in FL. The weather is supposed to be a bit chilly -- perfect for a scary corn maze. The Firegrounds sounds super fun with a big bon fire, snacks and story telling. =)
Saturday we're going to a reallllyy local pumpkin patch we never knew existed (it's about 4 miles from our house) with lots of babies and family. We're going with two, possibly three of sketchy's cousins and their two, possibly three babies. =) There's no corn maze but tons of children activities. I think we just want to go get our annual festive fall photos and grab a pumpkin for our front stoop. Finally got a new SD card and semi fixed my camera since it's terrible fall during save the date pictures. Hopefully i'll have cute pics from saturday.
Saturday night we're going out to clarendon dressed in costume to see, seriously, the best 80s/90s coverband ever at clarendon grill. I love that venue/bar and i love the band. I super sober danced my ass off to them a couple months ago -- that's how good they are!
Sunday, not exactly fall or halloween related, we're having people over for football for the niners/jags game in london. That game is going to be terrible lol.
anyways, excited about the weekend ahead. hopefully i get some pictures and hopefully everyone else is enjoying this amazing fall weather and doing festive things with their lives as well!
