Superlatives

As I've mentioned, I like to try specific things everywhere I go and rank them. I also randomly find places/things I find to be the best and always wish I had a list to consult when needing suggestions for going out. Welcome to the Best Ever list:

FOOD:

Best Chicken Parm: Random place on Jersey Shore/AC Boardwalk

Best Turkey Burger: Ale House

Best Chicken Salad Sandwich: Malek's -- Italian place in Springfield Plaza. Firehouse Subs and Potbelly's are a very close second!

Best Italian Restaurant in DMV: Ristorante Piccolo (others I have tried: Toscana, La Pearla, Filomena, Il Canale, and Bibiana)

Best Biryani: Mehran (and i'm up to about 10-12 places in DMV I've tried now including Rasika's biryani)

Best Cheese Selection: Trader Joe's

Best Mac and Cheese: WaWa believe it or not! it's just like IKEA's which was my original fav (it's so soft and weird -- like crockpot mac and cheese). Hamilton is at a close second

Best Buffalo Sauce: Stoney's in DC. Their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is so good and so is their Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese.

FUN:

Best Sangria: Fake tastey sangria -- Vapianos. Real and amazing sangria El Centro and Fireworks in Clarendon.

Best Mojitos: (and I don't like mint or rum): Toss up between Zengos and Bangkok Joe's (Georgetown waterfront). I think Bangkok Joe's has more variety.

Coldest Beer: Theismann's

Best Beer Selection: RFDs

Best Funtime/Cheap Bar: Bottomline (dollar beers on Friday nights!)

Best Wine Menu: Hamilton -- shows you all the wines and suggests what meal with which to pair wine.

Best Sports Bar: Mr. Day's in Arlington

MISC:

Best local Sports Venue: Raven's M&T Bank Stadium.

Best Park in DMV: Gravelly Point Park (by DCA)

Best Tourist Attraction: Old Post Office Pavillion (gorgeous view and feels so awesome weather-wise on a beautiful spring day)

Best Grocery Store Frozen Food Section: Trader Joe's

Best Activity I've Done While on Vacation: Tie between Jet Skiing in the Bahamas and Climbing Dunn's Riverfall in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Best Online Ticket Sale Site: SeatGeek -- so userfriendly. Has a nice graphic of the stadium/event space where you can hover over sections to see cheapest ticket in that area. It searches all the main ticket sites for best deal and you can sort by basically every thing you can think of! ScoreBig is a close second. Fantastic bidding web site on all sorts of events.
