Wedding Dress Adventures

So today I drove a good deal to go try on a specific dress. It was definitely worth it.

The story behind the dress:

I had found a dress on pinterest that i thought was really pretty a long time ago. Unfortunately, it was one of those pins where it leads you to no useful information! Gah, defeats the purpose of pinterest. But anyways, i pinned it hoping that i'd see it somewhere else at some point. That finally happened. A couple days ago I found the dress while checking out some other web sites. I found out that the designer is stella york. I liked quite a few of their styles. After looking up local boutiques that carry the designer i made plans to visit one in particular near baltimore. They had THE dress from pinterest but none of the other styles.

This was the first dress i tried on that i super super loved on me. It's also affordable in life which makes me really happy. I want to try on a couple more stella yorks before i commit but i'll be committing soon as we're now under 6 months til the wedding and these folks claim i will need to rush the dress at this point!

Here's the dress:

it has a bit of pearl beading which i love and LACE. the sash can be made to match the bridesmaid dress color! I love the lightness of the dress and the bottom's flow on me.

I've also been on the look out for antique stores and such to find little vintage/beachy decorative items for the reception. I had found this on pinterest which i really loved. Thought it would be nice for the main table with guest book, programs, etc.:

Found these awesome and perfect doilies in an antique store next to the dress boutique in Baltimore!

i have a few more that are not pictured but i feel like it'll be perfect! =)

Day 5:

A more traditional chef salad. Spinach, chickpeas, cheese and deli turkey

This weekend should be fun. Hopefully it's not super hot outside. We're going to kayak for a bit and get some Ben's for lunch on Saturday and then Sunday we're bottomless mimosaing (something we haven't done in FOREVER) at GBD. Their brunch menu looks amazing.
