Wednesday was spent cleaning the house and running errands before heading down to Fredericksburg. We have a pretty busy weekend ahead!
I'm excited for a change but also a little nervous about not having a fourth of july bbq with pretty america decorations. To make myself happy i'm taking a few items to put on the table (i'm making them have a table set with all the bbq food) to make it america-like. They're not festive people and they'll probably make fun of me but whatevs.
This is what it ended up looking like!
Thursday we're going to hang out at sketchy's parents' house, bbq and shoot off some fireworks! The last few years I was in Florida, fireworks were banned due to heavy droughts. My first four college years here were spent watching the DC fireworks from various places (first summer here from capitol, second summer from georgetown waterfront and last couple were from crystal city at our apartment building). This will be the first fourth in a LONG time that i'm watching them in a driveway! I'm excited.
Friday we're going to King's Dominion with some of sketchy's cousins. We went two summers ago and def didn't get to all the rides. I remembered that their water park was really large and looked fun -- been wanting to go back and spend some real time in the water park area.
Saturday we're heading back to springfield to go to a baseball game and free thompson square concert.
Sunday i'm going to a lavender picking farm thing with Brenna in the afternoon and then maybe just hang out at the house afterwards!
