Sapna's 23rd Early Birthday Festivities

Tomorrow (March 2) is Sapna's birthday, but we did bday dinner early. Sketchy grabbed an ice cream cake (more for him than her -- but Sapna loves ice cream too so I'm sure she'll be happy) and candles. 

His mom made dinner for everyone and then afterwards we surprised Sapna with the cake. 

So something I found out this past birthday is that it is not normal to feed people birthday cake. Evidently that is only for wedding cakes -- so say the white people. The brown people, however, are all on my side. This is a tradition that my family and sketchy's family have grown up with as with many other brown families. All of your 2398 cousins and siblings line up to feed you cake!

I'm not sure what he did here but it's hilarious. Such an action shot. 

Then I tried to give her the largest piece of cake possible and give her brain freeze. lol

and then her dad tried to feed her with the largest knife in the house. 

She didn't really want to do anything for her birthday so it was low-key and nice. The ice cream cake was, of course, delicious! We ended up staying up pretty late watching Daddy's Little Girl. Solid time with the Patels.
