Kid's Night at the Verizon Center

Last Friday, we went to home depot and got all sorts of project starters. We ended up getting half way through all of the projects. Looks like we'll have lots of week night items to do.

Friday afternoon I ended up getting a random impromptu poker night together with just a couple friends. Diana and AJ played into the wee hours of the night all to call it a tie. Lamesauce. lol

Saturday was pretty productive. Tried out a new pedicure place -- not as good as the spot I've been going to in Crystal City for the past couple years. Then Diana drove Sketchy and I down to IKEA to return some incorrect cabinet doors we bought. We ended up buying a couple items from IKEA -- little items.

Saturday night we headed out to the Wizards vs. Suns basketball game I got Sketchy surprise tickets to. He knew we were doing something Saturday and had obviously figured out what it was by the time we were heading out. The game ended up being awesome, despite a sad outcome for Sketchy's Suns.

When we walked into the arena we were handed this crazy metal lunchbox -- had no idea what was going on.

(this is now chilling out in the man cave with the rest of Sketchy's sports memorabilia stuff)

As we got to our section we passed all these crazy booths and games you could participate in. It was really festive but we had no idea what was going on until we got to our seats and heard the announcers say that it was G-Wiz's birthday so they made it Kid's Night. OOC. For G-Wiz's birthday, mascots from all different sporting teams around the country attended the game. They entertained everyone during the time-outs.

Some of you may know this, but many probably don't. I.am.in.love.with.mascots. I LOVE THEM. Here's a clip of a video I took at the game. The mascots did a crazy dance to a few popular songs. It was pretty hilarious.

Sunday we went to Rumors for St. Patty's drinking. There was a live band that played random cover songs. I got them to play one of my favorite country songs which made my whole life. They were entertaining and really friendly. Need to look up who they were!

Today I worked from 7:45am to 8:00pm. It was ooc and exhausting. The best part of today was coming home to an awesome meal preped by Sketchy:

It was seriously so good.

This week is going to be so busy. Hopefully also productive.
