Are You Ready for Some Football?! -- Gambling Season is BACK!

Yesterday we continued our Be Cheap Challenge. Spent a whopping 0.00 on food. Had bagels and cream cheese for breakfast, leftover chili mac for lunch and dinner was buffalo chicken tenders with rice and mashed potatoes! 

Today was bananas and yogurt for breakfast, spinach dip and deli chicken breast sandwiches and dinner will be either Pho or spicy chicken sausages. 

I feel like the quality of food doesn't have to suffer by being cheaper like a lot of the pinterested "shop on a budget" lists suggest. A lot of those will basically have rice dinners every night or pb&j sandwiches for lunch everyday. 

On the topic of food, Eid Mubarak to my muslim friends out there who have been starving through the daylight. I'm sure you're all eating well today, lol. Ramadan always reminds me of how i was so forgetful with natasha and noura and always ended up asking them to lunch. EVERYDAY of ramadan. #terriblefriend. lol

FOOTBALL:

This morning I saw a whole family in raven's jerseys (including two tiny children), a cute couple in redskins jerseys and got a couple e-mails about wing deals for the first real preseason games! The DMV area is all amped up for football season and it makes me happy! 

We're getting the nfl preseason package to watch the games at home. Excited for that tonight. We also purchased our tickets for the Jags/Falcons game in Atlanta in a couple weeks and we're hopefully also going to the Skins/Bills game. TAILGATING, you have come back to my life! Once flights get down under a certain amount we're booking San Fran flights and buying those tickets too! we're looking at two different weekends. A weekend in September (colts/niners) or my birthday weekend in Nov (panthers/niners). I don't really care which one we go to, just the cheapest. Have to see a game at candlestick before they never play there again after this season! 

Our save the date jerseys will be here tomorrow. Super excited, hopefully taking the pictures this sunday and mailing out shortly thereafter!
