Opening Day and a Fantastic Week Ahead

Yesterday I went to the Nat's Opening Day game. Last year we missed opening day, but the season before Sketchy and I went together. We had pretty awesome seats. 

Guess it was cold/rainy that year too. 

This year Sketchy couldn't take off work. I went with Brenna and met up with AJ and other friends. We had standing room only tickets -- we tried to purchase online multiple times but tickets kept getting sold out! 

The weather did such a horrible 360. On my way to the game it was beautiful. Perfect wind to sun ratio. As soon as I got to the stadium area, the sky was filled with dark clouds and it was FREEZING! There was even some really cold rain! 

I was driving by when I saw the fireworks go off for the first pitch. I was walking into the stadium when I heard the crowd's reaction to Bryce's first homerun. 

I was still searching for seats when Bryce hit his second homerun. Fail on actually SEEing them in the ball park. By the 5th inning we had seat. No more scoring from that point on though. =(

One of the reasons I like the Nats is because of their amazingly American theme.

At the end of the game, Screech climbed up on the roof and was waving a Nats flag. I love screech so so much! 

After the game, we went out to El Centro to celebrate Diana's Birthday. The drinks and food were delicious as always! Monday is also margarita Monday despite their lying web site! Oh, but it is also Nachos Monday. We had some crazy goat cheese and duck confit nachos to start -- amazing.

Monday was a fantastic start to what will be an epic week. Today was relaxing. Sketchy came home early because he didn't feel well. 

Last week I mentioned that I had some interviews coming up. Had one last week with a company I really liked. The job description sounded awesome! I have a second interview with them this week -- so hopefully that goes well.

On Friday, Diana and I head out to Michigan to visit Kate! We're going to hang out in Ann Arbor and then spend a night causing a ruckus in Detroit! Cannot wait for this weekend. I haven't seen Kate in far too long!
