Good Morning Detroit

I made the flight (finally, one thing that went right) and ended up in Detroit super early. Poor Kate didn't even know I was there 'til she woke up on Friday and saw my texts from midnight! Kate had an early class so I was just going to hang out at the airport for a couple hours. I was so angry that I went through security to baggage claim! Should have stayed by the gates and hung out in a Borders or Bar or something.

I ended up happening upon a bar in baggage claim! Evidently there are only two airports in the US have a bar in baggage claim -- according to the friendly bartender.  Met some of the nicest folks. One guy gave me extremely awesome suggestions for things to do in Detroit. 

Kate and I hung out, shopped a bit and watched The Call with Halle Berry. The Call was an excellent movie. Definitely a fast paced movie. Kind of reminded me of an elongated episode of Criminal Minds. 

Then we took naps and hung out before heading out to a bar to watch the Sabres game and grab dinner before picking Diana up at the airport to go out for the evening. 

At this point I was extremely excited for the weekend having gotten over all the travel fails.
