::heavy sigh:: Well hey there folks, long time no blog.
Looking at the blog it appears I stopped blogging right around the time shit got real. The holidays hit. I really wanted to just enjoy the time i had with friends and family, decorate and get into the holiday spirit without stressing myself out about documenting everything right away.
buuuut I've been itching to blog again with all this extra time on my hands, fun and exciting activities coming up this spring, oh and, because my painfully slow and 'memory full to capacity' struggling iphone won't have it anymore.
The goal is to toss in one throwback post a day as i continue to blog about current life. At that rate, i should be all caught up somewhere between let's say now and never.
This weekend we organized a little. We took a trip to Ikea to solve our too many pots/pans, not enough cabinet space issue. We played with tons of ideas but settled on this. I really like and it was super cheap. I think those rods are under 10 bucks at Ikea. I need to get some 3oz spice jars so i can rid myself of the crazy haphazard all-different-sized spice containers in one of my much-need kitchen drawers.
We also FINALLY packed away all of the xmas decorations (three full bins) and restored the house to original (or maybe an even better and more simple) condition!
took the tree down and chopped up to use for firewood!

i almost don't even recognize the living space anymore with how less cluttered it is!

This weekend we have some fun catch-up time planned.
Friday: dinner with Dorsa, Erik and Liam
Saturday: GW homecoming basketball game possibly followed by spending the night in baltimore with sketchy
Sunday: hanging out with Scott, Miriam and Hailey!
Next weekend (president's day weekend), we'll be going out with friends and doing something fun on Friday, DC Brau Brewery tour on Saturday, lazy around at home on sunday, and hopefully hit up a winery with Diana and Lindsay on Monday to make the most of a long weekend.
The following weekend I expect to be slightly epic. Kristen and Noura will be visiting DC. We're going to recelebrate Kristen's birthday in style. Not sure exactly what that'll include, but I'm sure it'll be lots of fun given the crew attending.
And now (because we all know i love lists) the giant list of post-worthy items that have occurred in the past twoish months. These are in no particular order, because i'm too lazy to organize. Let me know if i've missed something.

And just for shits and giggles. I saw a giant bug run under the fridge late sunday night. In true nalini fashion i freaked out and refused to go on in life knowing that bug could crawl up our fridge and into our things. Poor sketchy to the rescue:
Here's to seeing if i can stay on the blogging bandwagon this time.
