Successful Saturday

Today, we headed to Neil's home for his housewarming. He did such a fantastic job with the house. I don't think there was an inch of the home unfinished. He had amazing artifacts and souvenirs from various countries he's lived in or visited. His dad was in the foreign service so Neil has lived in so many interesting places. My favorite item in his home was a set of wooden elephants. Evidently they are all the various types of wood from Burma! His basement was completely redone with fresh paint, a brand new pool table, couch and TV. The place looked great and very home-y.

In my rush to get up and get started on this busy day, I packed my camera up but left it on our bar at home. I was so so so upset in the car on the way to baby party. So I have pictures, but they're from the phone and not great quality. Huge fail.

Below is the final product of the house warming gift from the office. Picture isn't great and the glasses had to be shoved into the basket in all sorts of ways to make it all fit, but here it is:

Then we headed to the baby party -- Beer, Elf on repeat and a side of baby games and presents. Here's a picture of Miriam (mom-to-be) and all her presents (and Penny -- best doggy ever in the corner)!

One of my favorite Miriam statements ever was, "that might be too pink. I'm trying to cook-up a tom-boy here." You could tell everyone was super aware of this by the fact that there weren't too many "it's a girl" or super "pink" bags and same for outfits and such. Below is one of the outfits Miriam was most excited about because it was a dress that was not PINK!

One of the things we did at the party was decorate baby onesies. They came out pretty cute:

I liked them all but my favorite was the hula baby and the State baby. Also liked the buttons and the "Made in Maryland or North Carolina" onesie.

The baby party was super fun and entertaining between decorating baby onesies, watching Miriam open all her awesome baby presents and rounds of flip cup (with spiked eggnog of course). =)

Countdown to Florida: 11 Days.
